What is a bolt pattern?

A bolt pattern refers to the number of wheel lugs and a bolt circle is the arrangement of those lugs. Typically, sedan cars will have a 4 or 5 lug pattern, where trucks and larger vehicles may have 6 or 8.

What does offset mean?

The offset of a wheel is the distance between the center line of the wheel and the hub mounting surface. A positive offset means that the hub mounting surface is closer to the outside edge. A negative offset means that the hub mounting surface is closer to the inside edge. An improper offset can cause the tire to rub against the outside fender or inside fender well.

What are hub-centric rings?

Most aftermarket wheels are manufactured with a center hole that will fit a wide range of vehicles. The hub-centric ring is an installation tool used to help hold the wheel perfectly centered during installation. The use of a hub centric ring can help in reducing minor vibrations.

What things should I look at when buying wheels?

First, you’ve got to like how the wheels look. Second, decide on the size and width. This could depend on your vehicle year, make and model. In addition, choose a nicely finished wheel and complement your ride. Finally, decide on the price. We realize there are many tradeoffs between the various features and price and that’s why we carry a wide selection of wheels for every budget.

How do I take care of my wheels?

Protect the finish of your new wheels by regularly washing them with mild soap and warm water. Before washing your wheels, allow them to cool and never spray them with cold water while they are still hot. Keep in mind that steam cleaners and strong chemicals used in car washes can be damaging to the finish of your wheel.
